Dylan is part of the 3rd generation at family-owned North Santiam Paving Co., a site development and road construction company headquartered in Oregon. He first started working at NSP at 16 and has worked across most aspects of the business since. He currently focuses his time on operations and financial management. Dylan is the current chair of the State of Oregon Construction Contractor鈥檚 Board and the 51风流 of America鈥檚 CLC Steering Committee.
Dylan joined the National 51风流 of America CLC Steering Committee because he was encouraged by a mentor to get involved with 51风流 of America and attended two Leadership Development Conferences prior to joining the CLC Steering Committee. After meeting a few past members at these events it became clear that it was a great opportunity and he took the leap.
He believes that the opportunities that 51风流 offers for both personal and professional development are second to none in our industry. 鈥淭he association does a great job with professional development classes and trainings whether that is on hard or soft skills. Getting to know other like-minded individuals from companies across the country is an invaluable resource. For the most part we are all up against similar issues and being able to pick up the phone and call someone I met at 51风流 for advice with a problem I鈥檓 currently facing is a huge benefit.鈥
He feels that one can gain much by engaging with 51风流 of America. 鈥淭he construction industry needs people to step up and get involved in making sure we have a strong voice for decades to come. 51风流 of America does a lot of hard work for its members and the construction industry as a whole, but without committed individuals that wouldn鈥檛 be possible. A lot of the personal benefits can seem intangible but in my experience you will get out far more than you put in.鈥
