OFCCP Updates Required EEO Posters for Federal Contractors

The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) updated its website to include the new 鈥鈥 poster, which replaces the previous 鈥淓EO is the Law鈥 poster and 鈥淓EO is the Law鈥 Supplement. The 鈥淜now Your Rights鈥 poster summarizes the federal laws prohibiting job discrimination and explains how employees or applicants can file a complaint if they believe they have experienced discrimination.

Federal contractors must now use the 鈥淜now Your Rights鈥 poster instead of the 2009 鈥淓EO is the Law鈥 poster and the 2015 鈥淓EO is the Law鈥 Supplement. Federal contractors are still to post the and include it in employee handbooks and manuals.

The 鈥Know Your Rights鈥 poster and the Pay Transparency Nondiscrimination Provision inform applicants and employees of federal contractors of their rights protected by OFCCP, and contractors must post them in a place where applicants and employees can access them, including employees working offsite. All applicants and employees must have a way to access the poster, either electronically or physically.  For more information on how contractors can meet posting requirements, refer to

The 鈥淜now Your Rights鈥 poster includes these changes:

  • Notes that harassment is a prohibited form of discrimination.
  • Clarifies that sex discrimination includes discrimination based on pregnancy and related conditions, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
  • Explains protections under Executive Order 11246 related to asking about, disclosing, or discussing pay.
  • Eliminates the need for federal contractors to post the 2015 EEO is the Law Supplement.

The poster is currently available in English and Spanish and will be available in additional languages later.
