51风流 Partners with EPA on Website Upgrade to Help Contractors Comply with Environmental Rules

51风流 entered into a partnership agreement with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to upgrade a website designed to assist construction contractors in complying with federal and state environmental guidelines. Under the partnership, which includes the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS), 51风流 will help finance upgrades to the Construction Industry Compliance Assistance website, or CICA Center. The website was originally launched in the mid-2000s with 51风流's assistance and was designed to make it easier for contractors to comply with environmental regulations governing construction projects. The upgrades will feature comprehensive tools and the latest information on state and federal environmental requirements as well as green construction and environmental management programs. "Getting a construction project underway is challenging enough without having to figure out which environmental rules apply and how to comply with them," said Stephen E. Sandherr, the chief executive officer of the Associated General Contractors of America. "This newly revamped site will make it a lot easier for contractors to take the necessary steps to comply with all environmental regulations for their projects." Topics covered on the website include:
  • Air emissions
  • Construction and demolition debris
  • Diesel engines
  • Endangered species
  • Green building
  • Hazardous/toxic waste
  • Oil spill prevention/planning
  • Process wastewater
  • Release reporting
  • Safety & health
  • Stormwater
  • Wetlands/water bodies
