Department of Labor Schedules Prevailing Wage Seminars

The U.S. Department of Labor鈥檚 Wage and Hour Division (WHD) has scheduled six upcoming seminars throughout the country to educate federal and federally assisted contractors on the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts and other federal contracting wage laws the agency enforces.聽 Each two-and-a-half day seminar will address such topics as the process of obtaining wage determinations and adding classifications, compliance assistance and enforcement procedures, and the process of appealing wage rates.聽 Topics for a series of special sessions on the final day of the seminars will be announced on site. The upcoming seminars will be held on the following dates:
  • March 4-6 in Manchester, NH;
  • March 18-20 in Phoenix, AZ;
  • April 1-3 in Chicago, IL;
  • April 22-24 in San Diego, CA;
  • May 7-9 in Houston, TX; and
  • June 3-5 in Atlanta, GA.
Interested participants should email their name, title, company name, mailing address, email address and phone number, along with the date and location of the seminar they are interested in attending, to whdpws@dol.gov.聽 A confirmation email will be sent to registrants who have been accepted to participate.聽 There is no cost to attend, but space is limited.
